About the Position
Project Manager (System)
Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems, is seeking a Project Manager for our System Department in Kyiv, Ukraine. The System Department is responsible for developing Ajax's software ecosystem, including OS Malevich, Video Management System, cloud, and client applications. The team ensures the stable operation of all system components as a unified digital platform.
Responsibilities
- Deliver releases on time, with quality, and efficiency
- Create new or adapt existing processes for interactions with related systems
- Conduct technical discussions with developers, analysts, and partners
- Support partners during acceptance testing
- Manage project changes and risks
- Estimate work volume and plan releases
- Participate in backlog prioritization and maintenance
- Plan and prioritize release tasks for the team
- Collaborate with technical leaders and architects throughout the project
- Engage with stakeholders and product owners
- Organize and modify operational and work processes in the team to optimize resource use
- Manage team resources (organization and participation in hiring, firing, and creating personal development plans for employees)
- Resolve organizational issues to maintain team comfort and focus on results
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT project management as a technical PM
- Leadership, proactivity, and high level of self-organization
- Analytical, systemic, and critical thinking
- Experience with releases involving multiple teams simultaneously
- Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the ability to adapt them to project needs
- Knowledge of classical project management principles
- High communication skills: ability to find compromises with stakeholders, obtain and clarify all necessary information
- Ability to quickly solve problems, make decisions, and take responsibility
- Ability to work with a team, regardless of your or your team's mood, lead, coordinate, and motivate
Nice to Have
- Experience in projects with stable releases and real users
- Experience with cross-platform projects, API, embedded, server-side
- Understanding of client-server architecture principles
- Experience in creating desktop applications
- Experience in a product company
