About the Position
1084568 Projektleiter Brenneranlagen
We are seeking a Project Manager for Brenneranlagen with over 10 years of experience in mechanical plant construction to lead and coordinate multiple projects in Nordenham, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Independent project management and coordination of several projects for the renewal of burner systems and associated infrastructure.
- Control and coordination of the necessary engineering activities throughout the relevant project phases, including concept, basic, and detail engineering, procurement, implementation, and commissioning.
- Development and improvement of technical concepts, equipment layouts, and technical specifications for procurement and project implementation.
- Technical support and evaluation of tenders, offers, and supplier services, including support in offer review, scope definition, and claims management.
- Coordination with internal departments, procurement, suppliers, and other project stakeholders in the brownfield environment.
- Monitoring and tracking of project schedules, costs, and progress, as well as coordination of commissioned suppliers, including quality inspection of the services provided.
- Support during the implementation and commissioning phase, including technical clarifications, site coordination, and preparation for project handover.
Requirements
Must-haves
Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or comparable technical qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the management and execution of projects in mechanical plant construction.
- Several years of experience in the planning, modernization, and optimization of industrial burner systems.
- Experience in managing engineering activities and coordinating suppliers and project stakeholders.
Project Experience / Industry and Environment Knowledge
- Several years of experience in the planning and implementation of CAPEX projects in the field of thermal process plants and industrial furnace technology.
- In-depth understanding of metallurgical production processes and industrial furnace technology in the non-ferrous metal industry.
- Proven leadership or significant involvement in at least two projects in the industrial brownfield environment.
Methods, Tools, and Language Skills
- Proficient use of MS Office applications.
- Application of common project management methods and tools for managing schedules, costs, progress, and interfaces.
- Structured communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Very good written and spoken German skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge in technical offer evaluation, scope review, and supplier coordination.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD and SAP or comparable ERP systems.
