About the Position
We are seeking a Property & Casualty Underwriter to manage commercial insurance portfolios in Singapore and the Asian market.

Responsibilities
- Portfolio Underwriting: Evaluating, pricing, and underwriting commercial new and renewal Property & Casualty risks while adhering to underwriting guidelines and delegated authority levels.
- Technical Management: Reviewing and enhancing portfolio pricing models, conducting technical portfolio remediation for underperforming segments, and analyzing monthly loss ratios.
- Channel Management: Managing relationships with financial advisors and bancassurance partners to address client coverage inquiries and deliver technical risk solutions.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensuring adherence to operational policies, delegated authority limits, regulatory compliance requirements, and know-your-customer screening practices.
Requirements
- Education: A Degree or Diploma in Insurance, or a Degree/Diploma in Business or Engineering supplemented with a Commercial General Insurance (CGI) certification, ACII, or ANZIIF accreditation.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance underwriting, including dedicated experience handling financial advisor (FA) or bancassurance distribution channels.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehension of general insurance operations, risk assessment methodologies, policy wordings, and industry legislation relevant to the Property & Casualty sector.
- Systems Proficiency: Competency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, for portfolio reporting and data analysis.

About the Manager/Team
You will report directly to the Head of the department and work closely with senior underwriters and technical specialists within the underwriting business unit. Cross-functional collaboration with claims, finance, actuarial, and risk management teams is a key feature of the daily workflow.
