Job description

Description language:

About the Position

EdEra is a Ukrainian online education studio that creates educational solutions for the government, businesses, and the public sector. We develop online courses, learning platforms, and educational games. Our studio includes an R&D unit, a communications agency EdComms, and products for optimizing business processes EdEra Solutions.

Over 12 years, we have worked with the largest players in Ukraine and abroad: government (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Economy), businesses (Google, Coca-Cola, Kyivstar, Genesis, Backstage), and international organizations (UNICEF, USAID, UNESCO). We have also launched a series of English-language online courses about the history and culture of Ukraine with the Ukrainian Institute (partially translated into 14 languages) and created the first Ukrainian product on Coursera. Learn more about us here.

We are looking for a Project Manager at the Middle / Middle+ level to manage educational projects from initiation to launch, working with many stakeholders, production, and real impact on how people learn in Ukraine.

You will be comfortable in this role if you:

  • Are driven by complex projects and the feeling of a launched product at the end;
  • Can build communication with various stakeholders - from ministries and international donors to businesses, experts, and film crews;
  • Can lead a project independently but value team support;
  • Believe in the power of education and want to influence systemic changes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage educational projects from idea to launch: plan resources and timelines, coordinate the team, organize filming, and monitor the quality of materials.
  • Be the main point of contact for partners, experts, and teams - internal and external.
  • See risks in advance and know what to do with them.
  • Create complex timelines - and make them happen.
  • Explain to partners and experts why things are done a certain way and agree on realistic expectations.
  • Conduct retrospectives - and truly implement the findings, not just collect them in a black drawer.
  • Assess how successful the project was and prepare a short internal report.
  • Help improve department processes in line with team and company goals.

Requirements

  • Project management experience of 2+ years.
  • Experience working on medium-complexity projects - where there are many stakeholders and classical processes do not always work.
  • Independence in decision-making and responsibility for the result.
  • System thinking and strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and beyond) and the ability to adapt approaches to the specific project.
  • Risk management and prioritization skills.
  • High level of written and spoken communication in Ukrainian and English (B1+).
  • Residence in Kyiv, ability to organize offline filming, attend offline meetings, and events.
  • A desire to work in the field of education.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of e-learning specifics and the basics of developing educational products.
  • Experience in organizing video production.

We Offer

  • Work on valuable projects that truly move our country and education forward.
  • Experience in implementing projects with various stakeholders (government, business, NGOs, international organizations).
  • Work in a professional team of over 50 people and internal training.
  • Opportunity to work both in the office in central Kyiv and remotely.
  • 24 days of paid vacation, unlimited sick leave (no certificates required), possibility of insurance and training compensation.
  • Market salary based on interview results and its transparent future growth based on achievements.
  • Step-by-step growth plan and the opportunity to change career track.
  • Foreign business trips.
  • Opportunity for public speaking and assistance in building your own brand.
