About the Position

Purchasing Supervisor

Dentsply Sirona is the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, with over a century of innovation and service to the dental industry and patients worldwide. We are seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team in Badia Polesine, Italy. The role is responsible for procurement activities and cost reduction programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing the local sourcing strategy for the assigned suppliers (Class C), defining commercial terms and intervening directly when necessary.
• Supports Category Managers in commercial negotiations with Class A and B suppliers.
• Implements an operational cost reduction program within the scope of responsibility, with particular focus on:
  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
  • Inventory management costs
  • Potential intra-group purchasing synergies
  • Supplier base rationalization, etc.
• Monitors warehouse status with regard to purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with the supply chain levels defined by company policy, and reports any potential critical issues to the Site Director.
• Collaborates with the Supplier Quality Engineering (Supplier QE) function in the qualification of new suppliers.
• Ensures full compliance with company policies and internal procedures.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects and Product Changes, supporting company functions in the development of new products or modifications to existing ones.
• Manages and develops the purchasing team, promoting skills growth and alignment with expected performance levels.
• Prepares reports, analyses, and presentations for management, including budgets and performance dashboards.

Requirements

• University degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience/knowledge.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SAP is considered a plus.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to work in complex, dynamic, and international environments.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality.
