About the Role
As a Pursuit Manager for BMW, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business. You will engage with the customer early, identify promising business opportunities, and drive these opportunities to a successful award with healthy commercial terms.
Responsibilities
- Execute the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
- Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagement activities including “war gaming” and 10 standards.
- Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer.
- Advocate customer expectations internally (cost, requirements, timing) and call for a game-changing position in regard to Harman’s USPs and value proposition.
- Understand customer expectations (cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them.
- Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Min. 10 years of working experience in Automotive (OEM, Tier-1 or Tier-2).
- Experience or strong affinity with Harman Intelligent Cockpit portfolio, ideally with ADAS and IVI technologies.
- Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases, and quotes.
- Strong hunting, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of Automotive OEM’s organization and processes.
- Fluent German and English is a pre-requisite.

- Experience within or working with BMW.
