About the Position
**Location: **Wrocław
We are looking for a Python Developer to join our Mobile Services team that is responsible for developing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting the Opera Mini and other Opera mobile services. As a Python Developer, you will play a vital role in the development of new features and maintenance of existing code and test suites, including bug fixes, optimization, and refactoring.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain new and existing applications supporting Opera’s mobile browsers.
- Implement and execute unit tests and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain best practices and ensure high-quality standards.
- Develop and enhance internal infrastructure and automation tools to support application development and deployment.
- Provide on-call support for selected high-availability services to ensure seamless operation and uptime.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of backend development using Python.
- Strong background in backend server applications development.
- Knowledge of relational databases (concurrency control, ACID properties, and query optimization).
Nice to Have
- DevOps expertise with technologies such as Kubernetes (k8s), Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with TypeScript/ JavaScript and modern web frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular.
- Experience in database and datastore integration, including Redis, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with frontend applications development.
