Python Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our team in Lisbon or Porto, PT. This role is hybrid (3 days per week) and full-time.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python solutions
• Contribute to the development of the core framework supporting risk data integration and risk metric calculations
• Rapidly prototype solutions to validate new concepts and approaches
• Identify application bottlenecks, defects, and performance issues
• Design and implement solutions to improve application stability and efficiency
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Deliver incremental enhancements aligned with evolving business requirements
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in an Agile environment
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to implementation and testing
• Contribute to innovation initiatives around automation, artificial intelligence, and development practices
• Support continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing activities across teams

Requirements

• Professional experience in Python development
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Good understanding of functional programming paradigms
• Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem
• Knowledge of Python architectural patterns and development best practices
• Experience with SQL
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience with integration testing
• Experience with end-to-end testing
• Understanding of scalable application design principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in Agile environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively within international and multicultural teams
• Interest in innovation, automation, and continuous improvement
• Good communication and teamwork skills
