About the Position
QA Engineer
Location: Canada - Remote

Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer, you are passionate about delivering high-quality digital experiences and eager to expand your skills in automated testing. You bring around 3+ years of hands-on experience in Automated testing and Manual testing, a growth mindset, and the motivation to develop stronger quality assurance expertise while making a meaningful impact on the team and the product.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- +3 years of experience writing automated and manual tests or developing features, including but not limited to writing and executing web or mobile applications, automated tests, and automated API tests.
- Experience developing automated tests in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience in QA Automation, preferably in end-to-end (E2E) automation with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
- Analytical skills and the ability to portray information in a logical and well-organized manner.
- Experience working in agile/scrum environments.
- Strong skills in communicating clearly and negotiating in French and English.
- Highly motivated self-starter, a team player who works well on cross-functional teams.
- Proven record of developing strong, positive relationships with the software development team, especially developers and business analysts.
- Strong experience working with project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Experience in different kinds of testing (Blackbox, Whitebox, regression, smoke, functional, and non-functional).
- Experience writing end-to-end UI tests.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing API and integration tests with the use of mocking frameworks.
- Good understanding of XML and JSON structures.
- Basic experience in building automated tests for APIs using RestAssured, RestSharp, Postman, or GraphQL.
- Some experience performing mobile application testing by using emulators, Cloud testing tools (Browserstack, Crossbrowsertesting, etc).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
We Offer
This is a Full-Time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is CAD $69,000 to $86,000 annually, depending on experience and location.

- Access to a flexible vacation under Valtech's policy to support your work-life balance, with 5 days available during your probation period and a prorated amount calculated for the remainder of the year.
- Personal Technology Reimbursement – $30/month for every employee, offered on day 1.
