Proficiency in English is required, as the role involves regular communication with clients and colleagues outside of Quebec.
Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer, you are passionate about delivering high-quality digital experiences and eager to expand your skills in automated testing. You bring approximately 3 years or more of practical experience in automated and manual testing, a growth mindset, and the motivation to develop a stronger expertise in quality assurance, while making a significant impact on the team and the product.

- Participate in internal initiatives to support and develop our overall practice. Be a champion of best practices in quality.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- 3 years or more of experience in writing automated and manual tests or in developing features, including but not limited to writing and executing tests for web or mobile applications, automated tests, and automated API tests.
- Experience in developing automated tests in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience in QA automation, preferably end-to-end (E2E) automation with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
- Analytical skills and the ability to present information logically and well-organized.
- Experience working in agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong skills in clear communication and negotiation in French and English.
- Self-motivated, team player who works well in cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of developing strong and positive relationships with the software development team, including developers and business analysts.
- Solid experience with project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Experience with different types of testing (black box, white box, regression, smoke detection, functional, and non-functional).
- Experience in writing end-to-end user interface tests.
Nice to Have
- Experience in writing API and integration tests using mocking frameworks.
- Good understanding of XML and JSON structures.
- Basic experience in creating automated tests for APIs using RestAssured, RestSharp, Postman, or GraphQL.
- Experience in mobile application testing using emulators and cloud testing tools (Browserstack, Crossbrowsertesting, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.

This is a full-time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is from CAD 69,000 to CAD 86,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits program, effective after three months of continuous service:
- A comprehensive insurance plan, with the option to choose the module that best suits your needs - Gold, Silver, or Bronze. Depending on the selected module, the employer can contribute up to 80% of your coverage. This plan includes short and long-term disability insurance.
