QA Engineer

About the Position

LotusFlare, a provider of cloud-native SaaS products based in Silicon Valley, is seeking a QA Engineer in Mexico. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing software quality through automation and manual testing. You will ensure all processes are well documented and identify opportunities for test automation. Your role will involve working closely with stakeholders and development teams to ensure the quality of our products, applications, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to understand project objectives and approaches
• Develop effective strategies and test plans in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Create and execute test cases throughout the development cycle
• Create reports to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues and identify root causes
• Conduct pre and post-release/post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Develop and execute automation tests and integrate with existing CI/CD pipeline and test management tools

Requirements

• BE in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred
• At least 6+ years of experience in manual and automation testing
• Automation testing experience with Appium and/or Playwright (or any other test automation tool)
• Experience with project management and test management tools (e.g. Jira, AIO, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray…)
• Experience with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman (experience with automation of APIs testing is a plus)
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Jenkins…)
• Familiarity with basic test case management tools and version control systems
• Full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles
• Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies
• Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes
• Previous TelCo experience preferred
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to assist in identifying and documenting defects accurately
• Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members, developers, and stakeholders
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
