QA Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team at CITRUSDEV, an international technology offshoring company based in Kiev, Ukraine. With years of experience, we have perfected the process, system, and technologies that enable us to create high-quality, scalable web and mobile solutions. Our goal is to always have our end products reflect our deep engineering skills and elegant progressive design aesthetic.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a strategy for quality coordination and testing
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
• Create detailed test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Identify, document, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
• Liaise with internal teams (developers and product managers)
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics

Requirements

• 1+ years of software testing experience
• Strong knowledge of QA processes, methodologies, standards, and practices
• Experience in testing web/desktop/mobile applications
• Experience with creating test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists, bug reports)
• Familiarity with Bug Tracking Systems (e.g., Jira)
• Experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Strong English communication skills (intermediate level)
• Characteristics: responsible, detail-oriented, independent, high-performance individual, initiator, excellent learning abilities, great communication, and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of test automation basics
• Experience with web security testing (SQL injection, XSS, etc.)
• Knowledge of writing responsive UI (CSS transitions)
• Knowledge of Hebrew
