Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are looking for a QA Engineer Manual / Automation to join our team in Bulgaria. This role focuses on manual and automated testing for a client in the logistics and transportation sector, specializing in rail wagon leasing.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated UI tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Developing and maintaining backend/API automated tests using .NET, C#, REST API, and xUnit.
  • Performing exploratory, regression, and functional testing across multiple applications and services.
  • Creating and maintaining test cases, test scenarios, and testing documentation.
  • Validating integrations between distributed microservices.
  • Working closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure product quality across the SDLC.
  • Supporting testing activities in AWS-based environments.
  • Analyzing issues, reporting defects, and supporting troubleshooting activities.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation coverage.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of commercial experience in software testing.
  • Hands-on experience with UI test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Practical experience with backend/API testing using .NET, C#, REST API, and xUnit.
  • Experience with manual testing including exploratory testing, regression testing, and test case creation.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud environment.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL (SQL knowledge is a plus).
  • Knowledge of GIT (github) and Scalar.
  • Understanding of microservices-oriented architecture.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Upper intermediate English level (B2).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of test reporting and monitoring tools.
  • Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
  • Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
