About the Position
We’re looking for a QA/AQA (TypeScript) Engineer to join our team. You’ll be working as part of a cross-functional team to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products.
Project Overview
This is a Fintech project from the US, whose main goal is to manage and schedule debts for US customers using a popular payment system. The digital collection strategy allows clients to pay at their own pace on a customizable plan that works for them. The customers have a proprietary online portal to manage their accounts. The platform offers them multiple installment payment options, nearly instant account updates, and even potential discounts for many accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright;
- Create, maintain and execute test cases and checklists;
- Test new functionality and bugfixes across multiple test environments and multitenancy system, and create bug reports;
- Perform functional, regression, system, and API testing;
- Analyze requirements and write detailed test reports;
- Drive quality across the full tech stack (backend, APIs, data, frontend), validates complex scenarios in a multitenant fintech environment, and documents/shares findings for continuous improvement;
- Proactively raise red flags in grooming sessions and help clarify acceptance criteria;
- Provide support during production and after releases, assisting in understanding and addressing client-reported issues;
- Engage directly with the client and work closely with the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of AQA working experience with strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies;
- Experience in test automation using JavaScript, TypeScript;
- Hands-on experience with Playwright framework;
- Ability to define functional, non-functional, regression, smoke, and system test plans;
- Experienced in testing web apps and REST APIs using Postman/Swagger, including schema validation and security checks (auth tokens, rate limits, boundaries);
- Hands-on experience with tools like TestRail, Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket;
- Proficient in creating detailed bug reports and feature tickets in JIRA/Confluence with clear steps, impact, logs/screenshots, and environment details;
- Strong SQL querying and debugging skills for relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), with experience in data integrity validation across microservices and environments;
- Experience working in CI/CD pipelines;
- Understanding of security testing principles (SSL pinning, input sanitization, encryption, token expiration) and fintech security practices (PCI-DSS, secure tokens, user data handling);
- At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English.
