About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join our fast-growing business group. This role focuses on web, API, and complex system testing.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement test strategy and testing approach for projects.
• Identify risks and adapt testing activities based on business impact and priorities.
• Execute testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Validate complex business flows, critical features, and edge cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with development teams to ensure resolution.
• Drive prioritization of issues based on severity and business impact.
• Improve QA processes, tools, and testing practices.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality alignment with business goals.
• Mentor and support QA team members, providing guidance and feedback.
• Ensure transparency of testing activities through proper documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (web, APIs, complex systems).
• Strong experience in test design: test plans, test strategy, test cases, and documentation.
• Solid understanding of different testing types: functional, regression, integration, system, acceptance, exploratory.
• Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle, bug prioritization, and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (REST; gRPC/WebSocket is a plus).
• Proficiency in Python and understanding of OOP principles.
• Experience working with CI/CD and integrating automated tests.
• Ability to assess risks and define testing scope based on business impact.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and reviewing their work.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with complex scenarios and edge cases.
