Qlik to Power BI Migration Consultant

We are seeking a Qlik to Power BI Migration Consultant to support our internal platform team in Prague, Czech Republic. The role involves hands-on PoCs/pilots, validating vendor accelerator outputs, and contributing to user adoption activities.

Responsibilities

• Contractor assigned to the internal platform team to support Qlik migration (Qlik Sense → Power BI / ThoughtSpot).
• Main tasks: hands-on PoCs/pilots, validate vendor accelerator outputs, provide guidance for replication of Qlik apps/reports in target tool(s), test data accuracy and performance, and contribute to user adoption activities (demos, feedback, basic training).
• Document findings, runbooks, and migration notes; escalate blockers as needed.

Requirements

Technical

• Proven Qlik Sense hands-on experience (load scripts, data modeling, expressions, Nprinting)
• Practical Power BI skills (data modeling, Power Query, DAX)
• ThoughtSpot exposure is a plus
• SQL and ETL understanding
• Familiarity with validating migration tools

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
• Collaborative and structured
• Ability to provide guidance and produce clear documentation

Project Performance

• Execute hands-on PoCs/pilots for selected Qlik apps and document outcomes.
• Validate vendor accelerator outputs and record any required remediations.
• Reproduce and test migrated reports for data accuracy, visuals, and performance; iterate based on feedback.
• Produce runbooks, migration notes, and handover materials for the platform team.

Acceptance Criteria

• PoC completion: each PoC/pilot is completed, with outcomes documented and a clear decision
• Documentation: comprehensive runbooks, migration notes, and validation evidence are produced and handed over to the platform team.
• Adoption support: end-user engagement activities (demos, feedback sessions, basic training) have been conducted and follow-up support arrangements are in place.
