About the Position
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our technical team in Yerevan, Armenia. Responsibilities include developing testing scenarios, performing software product testing, and ensuring product quality compliance.
Responsibilities
- Complete technical tasks within the agreed deadlines and according to project specifications, making the necessary updates regarding their status within the set timeframes.
- Develop testing scenarios and test cases, and perform software product testing based on the pre-developed scenarios.
- Collect and analyze testing results, presenting them for the purpose of error correction and improvement.
- Investigate, analyze, and categorize the sources of incidents.
- Possess and apply project-specific approaches and knowledge.
- Collaborate with all parties involved in the software product development process.
- Participate in all necessary meetings during work processes.
- Participate in Release/Hotfix activities when required, in accordance with the company’s processes.
- Work with other team members to improve technologies, study best practices, share and apply acquired knowledge.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor and arising from the responsibilities of the position.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer is required.
- Strong knowledge of REST or WebSocket technologies, data formats (JSON, XML, Binary), and data transfer protocols (HTTP, FTP, etc.) is required.
- Proficiency in Postman and Swagger tools, as well as MS Office and Jira, is essential.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices, a solid understanding of IT fundamentals, and familiarity with Agile processes are required.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in stressful situations.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Fluency in Armenian, English, and Russian is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
