About the Position
We are currently searching for a skilled Quality Control Research Associate - I to join a well-known client’s team in Philadelphia, PA. In this early career scientist role, you will support internal lentiviral vector programs by developing and executing analytical testing methods. This position offers a hands-on laboratory environment where collaboration, scientific rigor, and innovation are critical. The Research Associate’s work will have a direct impact on the organization and the broader clinical and biopharmaceutical industry, making this an excellent career opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform release, characterization, and stability testing of lentiviral products to support analytical needs for discovery and process development teams.
- Execute assays including, but not limited to: Western Blot, ELISA/AlphaLISA, PCR-based methods, flow cytometry, particle analysis, and cell-based viral titration.
- Communicate scientific data effectively through data presentations, protocols, test methods, and development reports.
- Contribute innovative ideas for developing novel methods to quantify lentiviral product strength, safety, purity, and identity.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional scientific teams to support program goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience required.
- Biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with viral vector characterization using cell-based, molecular (qPCR/ddPCR), and/or biochemical methods strongly preferred.
- Experience developing procedures for GLP and/or cGMP environments is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline required.
