R&D Art Generalist

About the Position

We are currently seeking an R&D Art Generalist to join our product IT company, Honeytech, which is developing a platform in the webcomics industry and producing unique content for it. Honeytech is a dynamic, fast-growing project that has already become #1 in its niche! Imagine Netflix, but for comics - in just a few years, we’ve gathered over 15 million users, challenged giants from South Korea, and proven that it’s possible to build a world-class product from Ukraine.

Responsibilities

As an R&D Art Generalist, your challenges will include:

• Creating high volumes of high-quality visual content and upsell assets for a vertical comics platform.
• Researching, testing, and implementing new AI solutions and production pipelines.
• Optimizing content production processes and automating routine tasks.
• Collaborating closely with the Tech Lead on experiments and developing new content production approaches.
• Documenting proven solutions and sharing best practices with the art team.
• Driving improvements in content quality, production speed, and scalability of art processes.

Requirements

We are looking for a specialist who:

• Has 3+ years of commercial experience as a 2D Artist, Concept Artist, Tech Artist, or in a related role.
• Has advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Clip Studio Paint.
• Has hands-on experience with generative AI tools (ComfyUI, Leonardo, WaveSpeed, or similar) and prompt engineering.
• Has a strong foundation in academic drawing, including composition, color theory, anatomy, and stylization.
• Has experience refining AI-generated artwork through overpainting and retouching.
• Understands modern 2D/3D production pipelines; experience with Blender is a plus.
• Quickly learns new tools, tests hypotheses, and integrates them into production workflows.
• Is proactive, self-driven, and passionate about continuous experimentation.
