Job description

Regional Growth Associate

About Qida 😊

Qida is a social impact scale-up founded in Barcelona in 2018 with the vision to become the European leader in services to the elderly at home. Our goal is to keep elderly patients at home, for longer, through both caregiver services, as well as insurance, data and technology. By doing this, the ultimate goal is to support health and social care systems in their path to long-term sustainability.

In other words, Qida is a business that uses data, tech, and partnerships with public and private institutions to transform how, when and where care is delivered. It works to "fix the health and social care system and on the back of it, creates a good business", not "making a business out of a broken system that remains unfixed."

Seven years after inception, we have scaled the business to 100M€ GMV, 250+ office employees, over 5,500 active caregivers, entered profitability (EBITDA 0) and have partnerships with the largest private hospital chain in Spain (QuirónSalud), the largest bank, the largest life insurers in Spain, and over 50 public institutions across the country.

We are B Corp and invested by the 3 largest social impact funds in Spain, together with Kibo Ventures, a leading Southern Europe VC. We have plans (and funding) to grow 10x in the next 5 years. And this position is core to this growth and sector transformation we are doing.

About the Position

We are looking for a Regional Growth Associate to join our team in Barcelona or Madrid. This role is pivotal in driving our market expansion across Spain. You will be the owner of local growth in every market, defining and executing the growth strategy with autonomy. You will report directly to the Regional Director and collaborate closely with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing & Operating Model

    • Lead the definition of the pricing model of your markets.
    • Lead the definition of the operating model: what we serve and where.
  • Local Growth Actions

    • Run "guerrilla marketing" actions in your markets.
    • Manage local commercial offices (where applicable).
    • Test and prove new points of view before scaling them.
  • Market Intelligence & Analytics

    • Analyze local competition: benchmark each market (who is there, pricing, value proposition) and propose price and service improvements.
    • Track growth metrics per market through dashboards.
    • Identify M&A assets in your region and share them with the M&A team.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional efforts for Growth

    • Manage local prescription and 1:1 relationships, and organize and sponsor local activities (sessions, courses, fairs, breakfasts) with the Prescription team.
    • Identify new prescriber portfolios, partnerships and B2B or prescription agreements with the Prescription team.
    • Run local paid and social campaigns, adapt messages and define the MGM model with the Acquisition team.
    • Activate local branding (local campaigns, door-to-door, local PR, out of home, brand placement) with the Brand team.

Requirements

  • Good person, humble, willing to grow and learn.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in growth, city launch or local expansion roles in start-ups/scale-ups/buy & build platforms (e.g. city launcher, city manager, growth manager, integration manager).
  • Comfortable with data: builds and tracks their own metrics and dashboards, and makes decisions based on them.
  • Ideally have a private car and willingness to travel across markets.
  • Strong people skills: able to influence and work hand in hand with teams that do not report to them (Acquisition, Brand, Ops).
  • Extremely hands-on. This is not a position to "oversee", "manage", "only think". This is a position to "think" and "do", in the field and in the markets.
  • Fast learner and willing to grow fast in a fast-paced environment.
  • Spanish-speaker (fluent C1 level).
  • Based in Madrid or Barcelona with frequent presence in the markets of the region.

We Offer

  • Permanent, full-time contract in a growing sector.
  • Hybrid working model: 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.
  • 3 weeks of remote work per year from wherever you want.
  • 23 days of annual leave + your birthday off.
  • Benefits and flexible compensation: Access to perks and discounts on health insurance with Adeslas, as well as access to Payflow.
  • Qida Connect: Office activities that bring us together, including sports classes, activities, breakfasts, Pizza Days and after-work events, as well as QidaDay once a year and QidaParties!
