About the Position

Our client, a global leader in packaging solutions, is opening a vacancy for a Regional HR Manager for Eastern Europe. This role will oversee HR activities across Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Latvia, and Russia.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the local HR network within the territory under responsibility (Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Latvia, Russia), aligning activities and providing priorities in accordance with global HR goals and business priorities.
  • Support local HR Managers in any issues requiring a more senior level of consulting.
  • Ensure compliance concerning personnel topics, including SOX controls and data protection, through local HR teams.
  • Ensure local HR teams organize payroll, time, attendance, and any administrative activities in line with country and group regulations.
  • Support talent acquisition activities through the local HR network, taking direct responsibility for the recruitment of the most senior roles in coordination with HR Business Partners.
  • Ensure all HR processes included in the annual cycle are implemented at the country level (annual review, development review, succession planning, salary review, annual bonus campaign).
  • Ensure the right level of staffing and skills in compliance with local and group business requirements.
  • Control that local compensation levels are aligned with the market and support talent acquisition goals.
  • Support local HR Managers in relationships with Unions and work councils when needed.

Requirements

  • Higher education.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR roles (HR Generalist, HR Business Partner).
  • Experience in a Country HR position is a must; previous exposure to different countries and cultures is highly desired.
  • Exposure to various fields of HR including recruitment, training, talent development, compensation, legal, and work council relationships.
  • Work experience in a multinational manufacturing company with a matrix organizational structure.
  • Good understanding of SOX Compliance.
  • Fluent English.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Good communication skills and personal credibility, proactivity, high level of responsibility, ability to execute projects in a complex environment, excellent management skills, ability to work independently and coordinate resources from remote, commitment to results, strong business sensitivity, and understanding.
