About the Position
We are seeking a Regional Lean Leader (m/f/d) to build and sustain Lean Enterprise capability across a regional network of manufacturing, distribution, and back-office sites. In this role, you will partner closely with site leadership to identify improvement opportunities and deploy the Lean Enterprise System (LES), supported by a network of Lean Ambassadors. You will drive measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and Productivity (SQDICP), with a strong emphasis on lead-time improvement and waste reduction in a regulated medical device environment.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and standardize the Lean Enterprise System (LES) across multiple sites
- Partner with Site Leaders and OpEx/CI teams to assess current state, develop Lean roadmaps, and ensure long-term sustainment
- Build Lean capability through training, coaching, and mentoring of leaders, engineers, supervisors, and Lean Ambassadors
- Facilitate kaizen events and structured problem-solving initiatives
- Establish KPI governance and ensure transparency and sustainment of improvements
- Enable cross-site best-practice sharing and replication
- Partner with Finance to validate and sustain savings
- Ensure all improvements comply with quality, regulatory, and change-control requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence
- Multi-site experience preferred; site management experience is a plus
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt / Black Belt preferred)
- A hands-on personality with a strong “can-do” mentality
- Ability to lead through influence, coach leaders, and drive sustainable change
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English (C1) and German (C1)
- Willingness to travel 40-50%
