About the Position
We are seeking a Registrar Judicial Process and Case Management for the Community Court of Justice. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating judicial process activities. Requires a Master’s degree in Law and 10 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor, and coordinate the activities of sections and units in the Division under the authority of the Deputy Chief Registrar.
- Carry out case management functions under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief Registrar.
- Responsible for drawing up the General cause list in accordance with the instructions of the Judges, Chief Registrar, and Deputy Chief Registrar.
- Supervise the verification of new application, receipt, processing, transmission, and service of all Applications lodged in the Registry.
- Supervise the service of all Court processes to Judges, Parties, Counsel, Translators, and Research Division and ensures the translation of Court processes.
- Prepare for Court hearings in accordance with the Court’s Protocols, Rules, Instructions to the Chief Registrar, and Practice directions under the supervision of Deputy Chief Registrar.
- Record a summary of the proceedings in the Record Book during Court session and prepare the Minutes of the Proceedings.
- Attend and may represent the Chief Registrar at Court hearings.
- Assist the Chief Registrar and his Deputy in the discharge of their functions.
- Performs any other related tasks as may be assigned by the Judge Rapporteur, Chief Registrar, or Deputy Chief Registrar.
- Proficiency in English, French, and Portuguese is Preferred.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Law or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Experience: 10 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative law or related areas including 2 years relevant international work and 2 years at a supervisory level.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of ECOWAS rules and regulations, policies, procedures, and operations.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated professional competence and mastery of administrative law and judicial procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct comprehensive legal research.
- Excellent self-management skills, demonstrating ethics and integrity, confidentiality, and displaying due regards for internal controls of rules, delegations, and transparency.
- Ability to analyze a situation by using indicators to assess the costs, benefits, risks, and chances for success, in making decisions.
- Ability to bring together complementary skills/expertise, assess individual contributions, and recognize/address accomplishments and shortcomings in a manner that brings continued success to the organization.
We Offer
- Compensation: Remuneration: UA 66,123.98/ USD 104,330.42
- Grade Level: P5
- Age Limit: Below 45 years old.
Assessment Method
Assessment of qualified candidates will include a written exercise and a competency-based interview.
