About the Position
Senior / Lead Research Scientist - Germany
Inworld is a research lab of top researchers and engineers, building the world’s top-ranked realtime voice models. Our models are the #1 ranked realtime voice models in the world and are used to power the largest consumer-facing AI applications across various categories. We are seeking a Senior / Lead Research Scientist to join our team in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art realtime voice models
- Collaborate with top researchers and engineers
- Contribute to research and development of cutting-edge models
- Optimize realtime inference and create best-in-class APIs and products
Requirements
- Machine Learning: Experience in training, new architectures, reinforcement learning, reward modeling, and scaling.
- Natural Language Processing: Proficiency in evaluation, benchmarks, quality measurement, and failure analysis.
- Research: Published research at ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, EMNLP, ACL, or AAAI.
- Deep Learning: PhD in ML/NLP or equivalent practical experience.
- Public Work: Non-trivial AI side projects, interdisciplinary experiments, and open-source contributions.
- Full-Stack Research Ownership: Ability to frame questions, run experiments, write papers, and ship results.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multimodal models, agents, tool use, test-time compute, and world models.
