At IDENER.AI, we are looking for a Researcher specialized in Generative AI and Agentic Systems to join our multidisciplinary R&D team. Our team of engineers, scientists, and software developers explores the potential of Artificial Intelligence to solve some of the world's most challenging problems. This role is designed for a professional eager to explore the frontier of LLMs, autonomous agents, and AI-driven reasoning systems, contributing to cutting-edge European research projects and industrial applications.

You will work at the intersection of Generative AI, NLP, and intelligent agents, helping us design next-generation AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and interacting autonomously in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems and multi-agent architectures leveraging commercial LLM APIs and open-source models, for complex problem-solving, decision-making, research automation, and productivity enhancement.
• Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for tasks such as information extraction, semantic reasoning, and dialogue systems.
• Conduct state-of-the-art research in areas like prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), MCPs (Model Context Protocol), agentic tool usage, autonomous agents, and OS LLMs fine-tuning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (data scientists, engineers, domain experts) to translate research into real-world applications.
• Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and deliverables for international R&D projects (e.g., Horizon Europe).
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic frameworks, contributing proactively with new ideas and proposals.
• Participate in the preparation and writing of EU-funded research proposals (e.g., Horizon Europe), including the definition of technical work packages, pilot use cases, and consortium contributions.

Requirements

• Education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, Language Technologies, or related fields.
• Language: Professional proficiency in English is essential.
• Skills:
  • Strong background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
  • Experience designing and developing LLM-based applications and agentic workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python and core AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers).
  • Familiarity with agentic and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants like Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
