The Research and Technology Center at Bangalore focuses on research in time series analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, numerical methods for embedded real-time systems, and hybrid modeling (Scientific Machine Learning - SciML). We pursue research and development by working with top-tier universities worldwide and our corporate partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop improved modeling strategies for vibration of automotive and industrial components considering material properties under various thermal loads.
• Leverage skills and knowledge of vibration mechanics and material science to build the requisite models and perform the required simulations.
• Perform necessary scripting, coding, and linting tasks for various related 3D multi-physics models.
• Combine physics-based models with AI/ML approaches for efficiency and accuracy improvements.
• Work in international teams and perform necessary development/implementation to accomplish the tasks.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification:
  • MTech, PhD in Material Science, Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering from top national and international institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years.
• Mandatory Skills:
  • Sound knowledge in vibration modeling, solid & structural mechanics.
  • Excellent knowledge of material science and engineering, especially related to vibration fatigue.
  • Excellent fundamentals of numerical methods and algorithms, especially Finite Element Methods.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python.
  • Proficiency in Abaqus tool.
  • Good understanding of ordinary and partial differential equations.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with AI/ML tools and methods, neural networks, random forest, xgboost, gpr, PINNs, Operator learning, and optimization schemes.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding and hands-on experience of LLMs and agentic frameworks is a good-to-have skill, but if the mandatory skills listed above are not there, then this won’t help for the role.
