About the Position

Resident Technical Project Lead – München IRC294870

Our Project focuses on the continuous development, maintenance, and optimization of a high-performance Android Open Source Project (AOSP) software stack. The project ensures that the vehicle’s infotainment system remains state-of-the-art throughout the entire lifecycle of multiple vehicle generations.

Responsibilities

• Onsite Liaison: Serve as the central link (Bridgehead) between the GL offshore/nearshore teams and the customers technical departments in Munich.
• Rapid Defect Management: Orchestrate immediate action for in-vehicle defects that require close, face-to-face collaboration with customer teams.
• Project Steering: Lead the operational project management, ensuring that GL’s work packages meet customer’s strict quality gates and timelines.
• Communication Management: Manage regular reporting regarding overall status, performance confirmations, and acceptance procedures directly to the Customer’s Project Owner.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure all GL deliveries follow our „Purity First“ integration policy and fulfill specified KPIs for defect resolution and AOSP migrations.
• Business Development: Detect and open up additional business opportunities for GL in context of the ongoing project.

Requirements

• Experience: Professional project management experience within the automotive software industry
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Technical Understanding: Familiarity with AOSP, Android migrations, and vehicle connectivity systems is highly preferred.
• Agile Proficiency: Proven experience working within agile frameworks and using tools like JIRA and Gerrit.
• Strong Business Acumen: Must be able to detect and follow up business opportunities
