About the Position

Veolia, a global leader in environmental services, is seeking a Responsable de Conduite d'Unité de Valorisation Énergétique F/H to join our team in Monthyon, France. As a key player in our energy valorization unit, you will ensure the smooth operation and performance of our energy valorization plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the continuity of UVE operations and maintain performance while meeting energy objectives
• Conduct rounds on all installations, perform meter readings, and carry out maintenance tasks
• Identify, report deviations and non-conformities, and propose improvement measures
• Diagnose faults and perform simple troubleshooting
• Adapt the operation of the installation according to situations (shutdowns, restarts, established regime, etc.)
• Report maintenance needs via the CMMS and collaborate with maintenance teams
• Organize and coordinate the work of the assistant
• Monitor and control the work of external contractors
• Ensure fire procedure management in case of alarm
• Ensure the safety of people and equipment

Requirements

• Technical training in thermal or energy fields
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating biomass boilers or urban heat networks, in refineries, or in combustion and steam production
• Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and steam domains
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills with all types of stakeholders
• Teamwork
