Description of the Role
In the context of ambitious projects in the Defense and Armament sector, we are looking for a Hardware Design Batch Manager for our Bourges site.
You will be in charge of leading a technical batch dedicated to the design of electronic boards and embedded systems, ensuring quality, costs, and deadlines, while managing a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Batch Management:
- Ensure the technical and operational responsibility of a hardware design batch (electronic boards, embedded systems).
- Coordinate and manage project teams (hardware and software engineers, validation).
- Monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual milestones.
- Organize and manage human and material resources dedicated to the batch.

Design and Development:
- Participate in technical choices (architecture, components, reviews) and detailed design phases.
- Control the application of quality procedures to ensure the achievement of technical and budgetary objectives.
- Supervise the creation of mock-ups, testing, and validation of electronic boards.
- Identify and manage technical risks and propose corrective action plans.

Client Relations and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure communication and coordination between ALTEN teams and client contacts.
- Contribute to the improvement of hardware design methods and tools.
- Actively participate in responses to calls for tenders.
Requirements
- Education: Engineering degree (BAC+5) in electronics, embedded computing, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in hardware design, including 3 years in batch or technical project management.
- Technical Skills:
- Mastery of the complete design cycle of electronic boards (specifications, detailed design, manufacturing, verification, validation, qualification, industrialization).
- Experience in managing an electronics laboratory (equipment tracking, 5S).
- Knowledge of design tools (Altium Designer, Jira) and testing methods (automatic and manual).
- Understanding of industry standards (defense, aerospace).
- Personal Qualities:
- Rigor, organizational skills, and autonomy.
- Initiative and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
