About the Position
Risk Controller – Trading Focus (m/f/d)
Join The Mobility House as a Risk Controller with a focus on trading. Analyze and manage risks in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the CFO: Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the business.
- Risk Monitoring and Analysis: Evaluate operational, market, credit, and liquidity risks arising from trading activities.
- Portfolio and Strategy Evaluation: Assess risk-return ratios using methodologies such as VaR, P&L attribution, and sensitivity analyses.
- Risk Model Development: Create and maintain risk models, limit systems, and stress tests for trading activities.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and develop daily risk reporting for the trading desk and management.
- Position and Exposure Monitoring: Keep track of position limits, counterparty exposures, and trading strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Treasury, IT, and Compliance.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the further development of risk policy in response to market changes and regulations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II).
Requirements
- Education: Completed degree in Business, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Professional experience in risk controlling, ideally within a trading environment (energy, commodities, derivatives, FX, fixed income, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of risk methodologies and metrics (e.g., Value-at-Risk, stress testing, backtesting).
- Experience with relevant tools and systems (e.g., ETRM/CTRM systems, Bloomberg, Matlab, Python, SQL, Power BI).
- Analytical mindset, strong IT aptitude, and a proactive approach.
- Languages: Fluent written and spoken German and English.
