About the Position
Risk Mathematician
We are seeking a Risk Mathematician to ensure fair and secure gameplay in our Live Casino products. This role involves analyzing betting patterns, monitoring game equipment, and collaborating with risk and surveillance teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze betting patterns of suspicious players
- Monitor performance of game equipment (e.g. roulettes, dice, RNGs)
- Verify math files for existing and new Live Casino games
- Identify and assess risks in Live Casino games
- Build automated reports in Tableau for routine checks
- Suggest new game ideas and improvements
- Collaborate with Risk and Surveillance teams
- Report daily activity to line manager
Requirements
- University degree
- Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and mathematical concepts relevant to game analysis and risk assessment
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Python skills
- Strong math, statistics, and analytical skills
- Experience with Tableau
- Advanced Excel, including VBA macros
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, Julia, Matlab, etc.)
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to clearly explain technical info
- Good communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in Live Casino or online gaming
- Knowledge of common exploit techniques in gaming (e.g. bots, RNG abuse)
- Understanding of gambling regulations
- Familiarity with risk analysis in casino games
