Risk Operations Manager (UAE)

About the Position

Operating exclusively with proprietary funds, SFORS is now seeking a Risk Operations Manager to join their UAE office and support their risk management framework across trading activities.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Head of Risk Management
• Monitor trading activities in line with defined risk limits and internal policies
• Assess portfolio risk exposure and identify potential vulnerabilities
• Enhance and optimize current risk management approaches using in-house tools and reporting systems
• Stay continuously informed about market dynamics, macro drivers, and portfolio performance factors
• Provide coverage for a group of trading desks
• Communicate risk-related insights and updates to traders, broker management, and operations teams
• Contribute to strengthening internal controls and risk governance processes

Requirements

• Operational/support/customer experience background
• Previous experience in trading is a strong plus
• Quantitative background, data analysis skills would be a plus
• Experience using SQL, Python, R for analytical purposes would be a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• English: Upper-Intermediate/Advanced
