Our client is a Swedish tech provider that is currently developing AndroidTv, TVos, and Amazon FireTV apps for Video streaming. Their team is around 50 people. Most of them are located in Sweden.
Responsibilities
- Develop Roku application using BrightScript and Roku SDK
- Collaborate with other developers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth application performance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Roku app development.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Work closely with the product management team to understand project requirements and deliver on time.
- Ensure compliance with Roku's development guidelines and app store requirements.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience developing Roku applications using BrightScript.
- Strong knowledge of Roku SDK, SceneGraph, and related development tools.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Experience in video and media-based development projects, including DRM, advertising, analytics, and online video platforms (OVPs).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to implement designs.
- Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- Experience with other streaming platforms (e.g., Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV).
