About the Position

Rotating Equipment Senior Engineer

Contractor Company is looking for candidates for the position of Rotating Equipment Senior Engineer, with at least 15 years of demonstrable experience in this type of equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Projects, or Power Plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop activities for specifying, selecting, and following up on rotating equipment, ensuring compliance with technical, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
• Prepare rotating equipment technical documentation for inquiries.
• Review vendor offers and prepare technical evaluations.
• Support the procurement team in defining cost evaluations for equipment.
• Review, mark up comments, and finalize all vendor drawings, interfacing with other technical disciplines.
• Attend internal review activities and participate in inter-discipline review meetings (HAZOP, P&IDs screening, 3D Model review, etc).
• Coordinate and assist other technical disciplines to perform engineering activities, providing technical information such as utilities and electrical load lists, layouts, etc.
• Provide support for expediting and testing activities.
• Provide support to project engineering for client requirements, attending meetings, etc.

Requirements

• Core Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge in rotating equipment (gas and steam turbines, compressors, pumps, etc).
  • Knowledge in the preparation of specifications, selection, technical evaluation of offers, inspection, and tests of rotating equipment.
  • Experience in the application of norms, international standards, quality control plans, and personnel management for the execution of projects.
  • General knowledge of the different disciplines involved: Electricity, Instrumentation, Piping, HSE.

• Experience:

  • At least 15 years of demonstrable experience in rotating equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Projects, or Power Plants.
  • Experience in autonomous work and service projects such as FEEDs, EPCs, etc., and/or have assumed the role of PMC/PMT supervising the work of another contractor.
