About the Position

We are seeking a Rust Software Engineer to join our team in Zürich, Bern, or Basel in a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Development and enhancement of modern software solutions with Rust
• Participation in architecture and design decisions in an international environment
• Development of scalable and high-quality software while maintaining high quality standards
• Implementation of APIs, services, and asynchronous components in modern system landscapes
• Collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, and interdisciplinary development teams
• Ensuring software quality through automated tests and best practices
• Actively shaping technical standards and knowledge exchange within the team
• Working in an agile environment following SAFe

Requirements

• Completed studies (ETH, FH, Uni, or HF) in Computer Science or a comparable education
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of practical experience with Rust
• Very good knowledge of Rust (Ownership, Borrowing, Lifetimes, Async/Await) and experience with frameworks such as Tokio, Actix, Serde, or similar technologies
• Experience in software architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge in DDD, TDD/BDD, automated tests, and modern software development practices
• Experience in SAFe/Agile environments; experience in regulated industries
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
