Safety Supervisor

Location: Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong

Company: Green Valley Landfill Limited (GVL)

Green Valley Landfill Limited (GVL), a joint venture with Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, manages the South East New Territories (SENT) Landfill and its extension. GVL focuses on sustainable waste management, converting landfill gas into electricity, fuel, and synthetic natural gas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in accordance with applicable health & safety regulations, permits, contractual requirements, and company policy.
• Coordinate with different parties (both internal and external) on the health and safety compliance conduction, inspection investigation, job hazard analysis, and audit programs.
• Validate all health and safety data, including the quality of the data, and prepare all required reports.
• Coordinate and implement the health and safety compliance and awareness promotional activities and training programs for all staff, visitors, and contractors.

Requirements

• Diploma or above/ Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health.
• Construction Safety (Green Card) Training.
• Safety Supervisor Certificate issued by OSHC or CIC.
• Lifting Safety Supervisor Certificate issued by OSHC or CIC.
• Holder of First Aid Certificate is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.

Experience

• 0-3 years of experience in a construction site is preferred (more experience may be considered as an Assistant Safety Officer).
• Holder of First Aid certificate is required.
• Driving license is preferred (Class 1 and 2).
• Proficient in MS Office / Google applications.
• Determined, motivated team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation and presentation skills.
