About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Area Manager to support our sales efforts in the North of Italy. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong sales skills, excellent market analysis capabilities, and a strategic mindset. Experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry or Consulting is a plus, but we welcome candidates from other B2B sales backgrounds who are eager to learn and grow in this sector. ONLY applications from resources who have already gained previous (even brief) experience in the world of commercial certification body and customer management will be considered.

Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Analyze the market of the pertinent local area to understand trends, general outlook, development opportunities, potential customers, and competitors’ strategy.
- Ensure the achievement of the individual and team sales targets assigned.
- Responsible for implementing sales actions through the development of prospect and existing customers.
- Be the primary point of contact for the customers assigned in his/her portfolio.
- Follow up leads and opportunities coming from the website and generated from Marcom activities.
- Ensure DNV visibility, reinforce customer loyalty, collect customers’ feedback contributing to customer satisfaction.
- Provide input and information to contribute to Forecast, Tactical Plan, KPIs and Target definition processes.
- Behave to secure that brand reputation and integrity values are adherent to the objectives, the values and vision of DNV during sales activities.
- Comply with Country Price Policy and quote approvals process according to Chart of Authority.
- Contribute to develop and maintain a network of channels (consultants, advisory companies, free-lance auditors, partners, associations…) with the aim of nurturing the lead generation activities.
- Sustain existing customers’ loyalty, deal with cross-sales projects in coordination with other DNV departments.
- Take part in local communication actions (external events, tradeshows, conferences, workshops, etc.) organized by the Marcom Department
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience in B2B sales position is a must (comparable position in TIC industry or consulting will be considered as a plus).
- Experience in CERTIFICATION BODY.
- Fluent Italian and English.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Independence and responsibility in the implementation of entrusted tasks.
- Creativity and openness to the use of new solutions and concepts.
- Excellent work organization and proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively on all levels inside and outside of the organization.
- Availability to domestic travel.
