Job description
About the Position
Make B2B software understandable and get it in front of the right people.
Mandatory internship or practical semester: target customers, new markets, and content for Onveda CPQ and our platform projects.
Your Internship at Onveda
Onveda is a software company of eleven people. We build portals, catalogs, and configurators for industrial companies and develop our own products for procurement and sales. As an intern, you will work directly with the managing director to ensure the right companies hear about us.
This is a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum), the hands-on placement that many German degree programs require. The team works in German day to day and most of the writing is in German, so you need very good German as well as English.
What to Expect
- Daily Work with AI Tools: Research, writing, analysis, and the automation of sales and marketing. We provide the tools and show you how we use them.
- Preparing Sales: Researching target customers for Onveda CPQ, building demo material, following up on inquiries.
- Assessing New Target Industries: Identifying industries with many variants, still calculating quotes in Excel, and large enough.
- Comparing Competitors: Building a business case that lets prospects work out the benefit themselves.
- Finding and Approaching Partners: For example, ERP and SAP consultancies without a CPQ of their own.
- Thinking Through Pricing and Packaging: For our products.
- Writing Case Studies and Guides: Together with the developers, and supplying LinkedIn and the website with them.
- A Task of Your Own: With a result you can show in your internship report.
What You Bring
- Studies: In business administration, international business, international management, technical sales, sales engineering, product management, digital business, entrepreneurship, innovation management, e-commerce, online marketing, media management, business informatics, industrial engineering, or business psychology, with a mandatory internship or practical semester.
- Languages: Very good written and spoken German, good English.
- Skills: You like writing and can explain technology so that a buyer or head of sales understands it.
- Interest: In software for companies: SAP, procurement, quoting, configuration.
- Work Sample: An analysis, a business case, a text, or a campaign you worked on yourself.
- Time: For at least three months, ideally six.
Why Onveda?
Your Working Environment
- Team: A small team with short lines of communication.
- Location: Office in Langenfeld between Cologne and Düsseldorf.
- Flexibility: Flexible working hours.
- Tools: Tools that move us forward: AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, locally run AI, Figma. If a tool is missing, we introduce it.
Your Development
- Mentorship: Working directly with the managing director.
- Insight: Real client projects and sales conversations.
- Results: Results that are actually published and used.
