Sales Specialist

About the Position

We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our team in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on commercial and account-related activities for Harman Automotive products.

Responsibilities

• Seamless sales management from pursuit phase to M3 gate + Change requests
  • Build, coordinate and manage internal relationships between supporting teams (SBUs, Program Managers, Engineering, etc.)
  • Maintain short term Sales plan and update the data in Salesforce
  • Lead First Enquiry Check (process) for RFx decision meeting
  • Support RFx responses & workshops by interfacing with customers & collaborating with internal cross-functional team
  • Manage day-to-day communication with customers for any commercial-related topics
  • Support change request management from commercial viewpoints
  • Support prototype delivery and pricing, tooling cost & development cost reimbursement
• Settle and amend Non-Disclosure Agreements, Development Agreements, Purchase Agreements, and other business contracts with customers in a collaborative manner with the legal team
• Develop future business opportunities pipeline, competitor information analysis, benchmarking, etc. to support business growth strategy

Requirements

• Self-Management skill for business development activities and opportunity identification
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey customer requirements to internal teams
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers as well as to be a team player in Harman by Native-level Japanese and Business-level English
• Negotiation skills to find solutions that work for both customers and Harman

Nice to Have

• Sales experience in Tier 1 supplier working with JOEMs
• Engineering background (SW, HW or ME)
