Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Salesforce DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub-based deployments, version control strategies, environment management, and system monitoring. This role requires close collaboration with development teams to ensure smooth releases, reliable infrastructure, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Manage application deployments through GitHub and Metadata APIs, coordinating with development teams to resolve deployment conflicts.
  • Implement and maintain version control best practices, including branching and release management strategies.
  • Set up and manage Salesforce environments, including sandboxes and scratch orgs.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and error-tracking solutions.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth software delivery.
  • Troubleshoot deployment, integration, and environment-related issues.
  • Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, security, and performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Management, or related roles.
  • Strong experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Experience with deployment automation and Metadata API-based deployments.
  • Proficiency in Git version control, branching strategies, and release management.
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce environments, including sandboxes and scratch orgs.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management tools.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
