About the Position
We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Consultant – Functional Consultant to design and develop robust data warehousing and reporting solutions. In this role, you will support data integration, optimize extraction processes, and facilitate knowledge transfer while collaborating with functional teams in a fast-paced client-facing environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop SAP BW solutions for data warehousing and reporting needs
- Conduct BW landscape inventory including InfoCubes, DSOs, delta mechanisms, and process chains
- Build and optimize SAP data extraction and transformation processes
- Provide support for SAP data integration with modern platforms such as Databricks, Azure, and Power BI
- Maintain and enhance existing SAP BW reports, BEx queries, and Analysis for Office workbooks
- Collaborate with functional teams on SAP data requirements across domains
- Facilitate knowledge transfer from the incumbent vendor on SAP BW configurations and data flows
- Troubleshoot SAP data flow issues, performance bottlenecks, and process chain failures
- Document SAP data models, extraction logic, and integration patterns
Requirements
- 4-7 years of overall experience
- 4+ years in SAP BW with strong hands-on expertise
- Proven experience in transition and knowledge transfer from incumbent vendors
- Deep knowledge of BW on HANA, BW4HANA, data modeling, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with SAP ecosystem including SAP HANA, SAP BO, and SAC
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Capability to operate in a fast-paced client-facing environment
