We are seeking a SAP MDM Consultant to support our global material master data environment, focusing on data consistency and synchronization across systems.

Responsibilities
- Support material master data processes across a global SAP environment.
- Maintain and improve material master data quality and consistency.
- Support iDoc-based integrations and troubleshoot related data-flow issues.
- Manage and analyze synchronization topics between global and China systems.
- Support intercompany message types and related integration processes.
- Investigate and resolve operational MDM issues and user requests.
- Work with business and SAP stakeholders to understand material master requirements.
- Support retail-specific material master processes.
- Document data flows, processes, mappings, and issue-resolution steps.
- Contribute to testing, change requests, rollout activities, and system improvements.
- Support legacy-to-S/4 data migration activities where relevant.
- Collaborate with SAP MM and other module teams on cross-functional topics.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP MDM, focused on material master data.
- Good understanding of material master processes and data governance.
- Experience with iDocs and system-to-system data synchronization.
- Knowledge of intercompany message types and integration scenarios.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot master data flows across multiple systems.
- Experience with retail material master processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with international teams and global business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- German language skills are an advantage but are not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and data quality.
- Proactive attitude and ownership of assigned topics.
- Experience with legacy-to-S/4 data migration is beneficial but not mandatory.

Location
Bucharest, Romania
Your Team
You will join the SAP team, responsible for SAP MM, MDM, Production Planning, PP/PPDS, and Quality Management. The team is relatively small, with individual consultants typically taking ownership of specific module areas. You will be integrated into the internal SAP team and work closely with global colleagues, business stakeholders, and connected module teams. The role requires strong ownership, attention to data quality, and the ability to understand how master data flows across complex system landscapes.
