About the Client

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of premium products for the modern kitchen and living space. With a long-standing heritage spanning several decades, they offer high-quality products that enhance the lives of professional and home chefs worldwide, with a portfolio spanning cookware, cutlery, flatware, glassware, and kitchen gadgets. Tradition, quality, innovation, and craftsmanship are at the core of their success.

Today, the company is an international industry leader with a strong global presence. As an employer, it is characterized by innovative strength, entrepreneurial foresight, international collaboration, and a respectful, people-first culture.

Project Details

The company's global SAP SD environment runs the full order-to-cash process for an international organization, with team members based in Germany, Vietnam, and the United States. You'll join as a Sales & Distribution Consultant supporting this environment end-to-end - from sales order processing and pricing through billing, shipping, and returns.

The role starts with day-to-day operational support and ticket resolution, with genuine room to grow into process improvements, rollout work, and small projects as you build familiarity with the environment. The team's guiding principle: stay close to SAP standard, and push back constructively on unnecessary customization. If you enjoy solving real business problems the right way rather than bolting on custom code, this is a team that will value that instinct.

Your Team

You'll be fully integrated into the internal, global SAP Sales and Distribution team, picking up topics directly or through a shared queue, and working closely with business stakeholders across the company's international subsidiaries. The role calls for practical problem-solving, clear ownership of assigned topics, and confident business communication - including the ability to challenge a request when a standard-aligned alternative exists.

What's in it for you

  • Interview process that respects people and their time
  • Professional and open IT community
  • Internal meet-ups and resources for knowledge sharing
  • Time for recovery and relaxation
  • Bright online and offline events
  • Opportunity to become part of our internal volunteer community

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational SAP SD support for global subsidiaries - maintenance, incidents, service requests, and smaller change requests.
  • Own the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process: sales order processing, pricing and condition techniques, billing, shipping, output management, and returns.
  • Analyze and resolve SAP SD issues while minimizing disruption to the business.
  • Work directly with international business users to understand requirements, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.
  • Evaluate business requests against SAP standard functionality and challenge unnecessary customization - recommend standard-aligned solutions first, and involve development only when custom work is genuinely required.
  • Manage your own queue of tickets independently, taking ownership of topics through to resolution.
  • Support intercompany processes and cross-module integration points (e.g., with MM, LE/EWM, and FI/CO), including EDI/IDoc interfaces where relevant.
  • Support system improvements, process optimization, testing, documentation, and user guidance.
  • Contribute to smaller projects, change requests, and rollout activities once you're familiar with the environment and business processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the global SAP team, communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and proposed solutions clearly.

Skills

  • Mid- to senior-level experience as an SAP SD Consultant, ideally on S/4HANA.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution and the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process - sales order processing, pricing/condition techniques, billing, shipping, and returns.
  • Previous experience with SAP rollout or implementation projects.
  • Experience providing operational support: maintenance, incident resolution, and smaller change requests.
  • Solid understanding of SAP standard functionality, with the judgment to avoid unnecessary custom development.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical, standard-aligned SAP solutions.
  • Experience working with international teams and global business stakeholders.
  • Confident, constructive communication style - comfortable challenging a business request when appropriate.
  • Strong ownership, independent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on mentality with strong team integration skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to intercompany processes, EDI/IDoc interfaces, or the Business Partner concept.
  • Retail industry experience.
  • German language skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.
