About the Role
For our Solution Engineering team, we're looking for an SAP SD developer. At Workist, our Solution Engineering team works directly with our customers to connect their ERP (e.g. SAP) systems to our AI platform and get them live as fast as possible. Our customers rely on Workist's AI software to automate core processes in Sales and Procurement. SAP is where the majority of that data lives, thus we need to tightly integrate with SAP. In this role, you'll combine product engineering with hands-on project work, and you'll be the person who makes our SAP integration scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and customize our SAP integration for S/4HANA and ECC customers.
- Run customer implementation projects, from requirements workshops to go-live.
- Serve as the technical counterpart for our customers before and after signature, ensuring our software is compatible with their existing SAP landscape and compliant with data protection requirements.
- Work closely with our Product & Engineering team to align the SAP integration with our product roadmap.
- Analyze and identify new use cases that create measurable value for our customers.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on SAP development experience.
- Proficiency in ABAP and ABAP Objects. You’ve built at least one component end-to-end, e.g., an enhancement, an RFC-enabled function module, or an OData service, not only reports.
- Experience with building or consuming OData services (Gateway or RAP) and REST APIs, and knowledge of JSON mapping and error handling on both sides.
- Experience working in ADT/Eclipse and handling the classic workbench when a customer system requires it. Experience with abapGit, RAP, ABAP Cloud, or BTP is welcome.
- Interest in integrating AI-extracted order data into SAP reliably. Using AI tooling in your own work is normal for you.
- Ability to explain technical decisions to a customer’s SAP team and willingness to run requirements workshops.
- First experience with Python is a plus.
- Fluent in German and English (native or at least C1).
