The Role
The Production Shift Leader supports the Production Manager in leading a team of production employees to ensure a smooth production process. Their tasks include motivating the team, maintaining high-quality standards, and achieving production goals. The shift leader works with employees on their daily assembly tasks and ensures that the processes comply with quality standards.
In addition, they determine the training needs within the team and coordinate these measures with the Production Manager. Constant communication with departments such as logistics and quality management is crucial for maintaining production processes. Furthermore, this position regularly prepares reports on performance indicators and quality standards from the shift and reports them to the production management. Compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in the assembly area is an important aspect of this position.
Your Daily Tasks
- Support in daily assembly activities and ongoing operations.
- Lead and motivate a team of assembly workers to ensure a smooth production process.
- Monitor and support daily assembly activities with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards in the assembly area.
- Determine training needs within the team and organize appropriate training.
- Maintain active communication with other departments such as logistics and quality management to optimize production processes.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators and quality standards for management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations in the assembly area.
Qualifications
You should apply if you have:
- A successfully completed technical education and/or training, and additional experience in production and assembly environments.
- Initial management experience in a similar role, or initial experience with the mentioned tasks in a production environment.
- Understanding of production processes and quality requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good German language skills in speech and writing; English skills are advantageous.
- Willingness to work shifts.
