About the Position
Schutztechniker – Mittelspannung (m/w/d)
IGS Netze GmbH, a subsidiary of MVV Industriepark Gersthofen GmbH, is seeking a dedicated Schutztechniker – Mittelspannung (m/w/d) to join our team in Gersthofen, Bayern. This role is integral to ensuring the secure energy supply through protection and function testing of medium voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Conducting protection and function tests on medium voltage systems
- Parameterizing, testing, and commissioning protection devices and secondary technology
- Performing system and communication tests with remote control and protection systems such as SIPROTEC and MiCOM
- Analyzing measurement values, error patterns, and disturbance recordings, and determining and validating protection settings
- Utilizing modern testing and automation tools, creating test reports, and coordinating with customers, grid operators, and internal interfaces
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification, e.g., as a technician or master
- Professional experience in protection technology, ideally in the medium voltage sector
- Good knowledge of power grid operation and protection concepts
- Experience with common engineering and testing tools, particularly OMICRON, DIGSI 4/5
- Knowledge in control technology or remote control connection, ideally with IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-101/103/104
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and confident demeanor in customer interactions
- Very good German language skills
- Willingness to travel for regional assignments and possession of a Class B driver's license
