About the Position
Scientist Regulatory Compliance
Winston-Salem, North Carolina
REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Scientist, Regulatory Compliance in Winston-Salem, NC
The Regulatory Compliance Scientist will be responsible for drafting FDA Ingredient and HPHC (Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents) submissions in collaboration with internal stakeholders. In addition, the candidate will provide support to regulatory submissions such as FSC (Fire Standard Compliance) and serve as an internal reviewer for various other regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities
- Lead FDA Ingredient and HPHC (Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents) submissions
- Support state FSC (Fire Standards Compliance) submission processes
- Serve as an internal Regulatory Compliance reviewer for federal and state regulatory submissions
- Maintain and store all submission documentation per standard procedures
- Participate in FSC Certification/AG Registration/Pipeline meetings
- Ensure all internal regulatory policies and procedures have been followed and documented
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field
- Ability to manage and execute multiple projects often under heightened time constraints
- Capacity to quickly accumulate and apply broad, cross-functional business knowledge
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a regulated industry such as tobacco/nicotine, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or medical devices
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
