About the Position
We are looking for a Junior Scrum Master to join our growing Agile and DevOps practice in Amstelveen, NL. Help teams embrace Agile principles and continuously improve their ways of working.

About the Role
As a Scrum Master, you will act as a coach and facilitator rather than a traditional manager, guiding teams through Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will work with long-term customer engagements, primarily within government and public sector environments, supporting multiple Agile teams and helping organizations deliver high-quality IT services and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support Agile and DevOps teams in applying Scrum principles and Agile ways of working
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions
- Help foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within Scrum teams
- Assist in identifying and removing impediments that affect team delivery
- Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to support successful Sprint outcomes
- Encourage Agile best practices and contribute to improving team maturity
- Monitor team progress and help identify opportunities for process improvements
- Support communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Learn from and collaborate with senior Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches where applicable
- Contribute to Agile initiatives across the organization
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role (e.g. Agile Project Coordinator, Agile Delivery Coordinator, Junior Scrum Master)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification or equivalent is preferred
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum principles
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies in an Agile environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eager to coach teams and support continuous improvement
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
- Experience working in a technical or IT environment is an advantage
- Experience working within government or public sector environments is a plus
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills
- Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands and able to pass government-related security screening requirements
