About the Position

Hello. We’re Teya.

Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better.

They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops, and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs, and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support, and complexity that gets in the way of running a business.

Teya exists to change that.

We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design, and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.

We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.

If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems, and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • First Point of Contact: Be the first point of contact between Teya and potential merchants. Identify and qualify potential clients, initiate relevant conversations, and turn prospecting into real business opportunities for our Field Sales team.
  • Lead Qualification: Work with a prioritized list of leads classified based on profile and intention, making the first contact primarily by phone and using email and social media as a complement.
  • Meeting Scheduling: Qualify each lead based on a clear set of criteria and schedule qualified merchants directly on a Field Sales seller's calendar, with at least 48 hours' notice, ensuring the meeting takes place through confirmation and a reminder the day before.
  • Lead Management: Signal leads that show potential but need to be contacted at a more suitable time. Close leads that do not fit the profile, recording a clear and honest reason.
  • CRM Maintenance: Keep the CRM organized: accurate records, clear notes, and updated statuses. The next person in the process depends on the information you record.

Requirements

  • Sales Development: Experience in Sales Development or another goal-oriented sales function with a strong telephone component.
  • CRM Proficiency: Fluency in using a CRM and modern sales tools, or the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Fluency in Portuguese: Fluency in Portuguese is required.

Nice to Have

  • Fintech Experience: Experience in fintech or in the sale of payment solutions is a plus.
  • CRM Experience: Experience with a CRM.

What We Offer

  • Professional Growth: The SDR role is where great sellers are made. You will learn the market, the product, and the art of qualification from day one, while being recognized for your contribution to each business you help start.
  • Career Progression: High-performing SDRs have the opportunity to advance to Field Sales roles, gradually taking on more responsibility in the sales process.
  • Supportive Environment: The operation is designed to help you succeed. Leads arrive already identified, enriched, and classified, allowing your effort to be directed towards conversations that truly matter, instead of wasting time searching for data.
  • Clear Framework: You will have a clear qualification framework, modern tools, and a team that measures your work by the quality of the opportunities you create, not just the number of contacts made.
