About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Security Systems Engineer (Cloud) to join our security team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our security infrastructure, assisting with incident response, automating security tasks, and ensuring our defensive systems are robust. Additionally, you will play a key role in advancing our cloud security posture, collaborating with our SOC to optimize detection rules and conducting threat modeling to identify and mitigate risks across our hybrid environments.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain core security technologies, including EDR/MDR agents, identity providers, and vulnerability scanners
- Participate in incident response, analyze security alerts, investigate root causes, and execute mitigation strategies
- Execute vulnerability scans, prioritize risks, and collaborate with system owners to ensure timely patching
- Write and maintain scripts to automate routine security tasks, log parsers, and monitoring workflows
- Promote security best practices and ensure alignment with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST
- Track and report on the effectiveness of security controls through periodic reviews and continuous fine-tuning
Requirements
- Proven experience developing security policies and baselines for cloud and hybrid environments
- History of performing structured risk assessments and developing comprehensive security frameworks
- Track record of collaborating with SOC teams to fine-tune SIEM detection rules and strengthen response capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to conduct security architecture reviews and threat modeling to mitigate design-level weaknesses
Nice to Have
- Practical coding or scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate workflows
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning and threat assessment tools like Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7
